Participants discussed connecting the marketplace to nearby historic and event spaces, increasing walkability, and ensuring the village center can host arts and cultural activities. Staff asked attendees whether the marketplace should remain the hub; residents signaled general support while acknowledging build-out would take time (apartments may be a year to two from completion).
What happens next: staff will refine central-gathering actions in the 10-year plan and note marketplace redevelopment as a phased opportunity to increase walkability and event programming.
