Commissioner Waltz moved to change the positions from two temporary positions to one year‑round position and to post for hire; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Staff noted seasonal positions in county policy include benefits when annualized and that converting seasonality will not change budget totals. Commissioners emphasized retaining attendants in remote areas to maintain service levels.
