Park County commissioners approved a staff-recommended family transfer (SE‑29‑25) that would allow Louann Skaddam to transfer one parcel to her son, James Skaddam.
Planning staff (Mike) described the application and reported reviews by the county attorney, sanitarian and planning staff found the parcel met uniform standards for monumentation and certificate-of-survey requirements. Staff said the review found no rebuttable presumption of evasion of the Montana Subdivision and Platting Act.
Commissioner Waltz moved to approve SE‑29‑25 as a staff/family transfer; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners offered supportive comments about family transfers as a legitimate use of the transfer process.
The county did not amend conditions or attach additional requirements during the approval. No new taxes, easements or infrastructure obligations beyond routine review were discussed at the meeting.
