Commissioners approve bridge planning applications, court staffing and housekeeping items

Commissioners approved the planning application and the $6,600 commitment.
- The commission approved a CIP budget amendment to add insulation for the weed-shed facility and transfer a UTV into the noxious-weed department's capital plan; county staff said funds would come from the weed department cash reserve.
- The clerk's office described workload and staffing needs following a retirement; commissioners voted to post and hire an additional deputy clerk of district court to address heavy caseloads and ensure continuity for filings, jury days and motion calendars.
- County attorney staff and commissioners approved a resolution establishing regular office hours for the justice court and clarifying the use of judge pro tem appointments.
These items were approved by majority vote as part of the meeting's action items; commissioners said the changes address operational needs in road planning, noxious-weed operations and court administration.
