Park County requests MDT study of no‑passing zone at Greyhound Fishing Access after accidents and a fatality

Staff presented a draft letter covering roughly a half‑mile north and south of the access and recommended the county ask MDT to study whether the left‑turn area should be restricted. Commissioner Wallace and other residents cited multiple close calls and a local fatality. "That fishing access site is packed every day all summer," Commissioner Wallace said, supporting the study request. Another commissioner noted the county can ask MDT to evaluate the location and that any final traffic‑control changes would be determined by MDT's study.
The commission moved and voted to sign the letter asking MDT to conduct the study.
