Fulton County commissioners approve routine business, appointments and personnel action

At its Dec. 16, 2025 meeting the Fulton County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved minutes, payables totaling $281,921.91, a software renewal, physician services request for an inmate, an IDA appointment and several reappointments, and approved advertising for an Enforcement Officer 1 after dismissing a Domestic Relations employee.
Fulton County commissioners handled routine administrative business and several personnel actions during their Dec. 16, 2025 meeting.
The board approved the Dec. 9, 2025 Commissioners' Meeting minutes and the Dec. 9 Retirement Board minutes on a motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve payables dated Dec. 16, 2025 totaling $281,921.91; the minutes list Fund 100 General Fund at $214,588.09, Fund 238 (911) at $20,705.31, Fund 276 (Opioid Settlement Funds) at $46,105.21, and smaller amounts in other funds. The motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Hann moved to dismiss a Domestic Relations employee effective Dec. 8, 2025; the minutes do not name the employee. The board also approved a motion by Commissioner Hann to advertise for an "Enforcement Officer 1" in the Domestic Relations Department, to be posted internally and externally.
On other routine matters, Commissioner Wible moved to retroactively approve a Momentive Software, Inc. renewal order for the Fiscal Department at an annual price of $1,660.48. Commissioner Bunch moved to approve and execute a Sheriff's Department request for physician services for an inmate at the Bedford County Correctional Facility. Both motions were approved unanimously.
Commissioner Bunch moved to appoint Thomas Peppernick to the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors for a four-year term ending Dec. 31, 2027. Commissioner Hann moved to reappoint Margie McGuire (Contractor), Paula Shives (Member-at-Large), Thomas Morton (Elected Official) and Daniel Schriever (Member-at-Large) to the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board for two-year terms ending Dec. 31, 2027. The board also approved the 2026 Commissioners' Meeting dates for publication in the Fulton County Newspaper.
The meeting included two short executive sessions for personnel matters (entered/exited at 9:36–9:38 a.m. and 10:52–11:30 a.m.). A DCED financial monitoring interview scheduled for 11:30 a.m. was cancelled by DCED and will be handled with SEDA COG and the Chief Clerk.
The meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m. on a motion by Commissioner Randy H. Bunch.
