Commissioner says Daughters of the Utah Pioneers will fund historic bell at Roosevelt branch; county approval required

Commissioner Jeff Chugg reported that the Roosevelt chapter of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers requested installation of a historic bell monument on Roosevelt Branch property and that the DUP will cover installation costs; monuments on county property must be approved by the County Commission.
During the March 18 meeting Commissioner Jeff Chugg informed the Duchesne County Library Board that the Roosevelt chapter of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers had requested to install a historic bell monument on library property.
Chugg said monuments placed on county property require approval by the County Commission and that the DUP will cover the installation costs. The board did not take formal action on the request during the meeting; Chugg presented the request as a pending item that requires Commission approval.
No public comment on the matter was recorded at the meeting.
