Parkview Health won council approval Tuesday for a rezoning that clears the way for a proposed hospital on about 26 acres in northern West Lafayette.
Kevin Riley, an attorney for the petitioner, told the council the medical rezoning would allow Parkview to build a 153,676-square-foot hospital with 40 inpatient beds (room for 40 additional shelved beds), four operating rooms, two procedural rooms and two cath labs. Parkview also showed a 35,000-square-foot medical office on the site and said the facility would operate a 24/7 emergency department.
