Rosebud County commissioners approve EMS staffing change, winter maintenance pact and routine agenda items

The commissioners also renewed a library services agreement with Treasure County, which the Chair described as a continuation of prior practice because “Treasure County doesn't have a library, so they use our library,” allowing Rosebud County to receive associated state aid.
On emergency services, the board approved administrative changes intended to centralize some functions — cross training, supply purchasing, payroll administration, staff scheduling and inventory oversight — and to designate an individual to assist with those tasks. The Chair stated the position’s compensation in the transcript as “$2.26 55” and said the director would allocate the amount from her salary; commissioners voted to approve the change.

Commissioners adopted Resolution 12‑31, authorizing the State of Montana Department of Transportation to provide oil, magnesium chloride and winter maintenance services on specified county roads (including a 0.7‑mile segment near Bernie Ashland Road and a portion of Castle Rock Road).
