Prairie Meadows and Polk County praised as donors; board recognizes schools and foundation work

Board members also recognized a recent Des Moines Public Schools Foundation gala. A board member (speaker 7) reported the foundation event raised over $147,000 and thanked Kaylee Becker and the foundation board for their work. Several board members praised staff and school leaders for work on recent events and programs.
The meeting's recognitions emphasized continued public‑private partnerships and the foundation's fundraising role; the board did not take a formal vote on any of the recognitions or donations during this session.
