Legislative update: AB 2283 has an author; mutual-aid proposal lacks sponsor

Smith said AB 2283, a bill concerning the Public Guardian, has an author: Assemblymember Jeff Gonzalez. Smith also reported that a mutual-aid bill concept co-sponsored with LeadingAge currently has no author; CCoA staff are investigating other avenues to advance the concept.
Smith said the Legislative Advocacy Committee will convene to review current bills affecting older adults and to consider whether the Commission should take positions of support or opposition.
