Fulton County adopts 2026 budget with no tax increase

Fulton County commissioners unanimously adopted the 2026 fiscal-year budget on Dec. 30, 2025, approving a Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution that keeps county tax rates unchanged for 2026. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to adopt the budget as presented by CFO Mike Lamb and Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed; the motion passed with all in favor.
Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed told the board there were no changes to the budget since it was publicly advertised. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve Resolution 8 of 2025, the county’s formal Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution, which the board approved without objection.
The commissioners also approved routine fiscal business during the meeting, including account payables dated Dec. 30, 2025, totaling $112,913.87 (General Fund $98,764.92; Debt Service $14,148.95). The board adopted the budget and the levy as presented; no further amendments were recorded at the meeting.
