Students Maxwell Wooten, Kamari Davis and Justice Davis identified themselves and read portions of the proclamation; they also announced upcoming MLK events at North Hennepin Community College and the Zane Wood Youth Center.
Assistant Finance Director Molly Lopez introduced Danny Johnson as the city’s new financial analyst in the Finance Department and asked the council to welcome him; the council acknowledged the hire.
The proclamation emphasized civic service and the city’s intent to celebrate King’s legacy through community events and partnerships with local organizations.
