The Board of Works and Public Safety approved a series of routine procedural items at its Feb. 26 meeting, including minutes and several claims and payroll payments.
Chair opened the meeting and presented minutes from Feb. 12, 2026, and Feb. 19, 2026. Committee member (speaker 2) moved to approve the Feb. 12 minutes and committee member (speaker 3) seconded; the board voted 'Aye' and the motion carried. Committee member (speaker 3) then moved and seconded approval of the Feb. 19 minutes; the board again voted 'Aye' and carried the motion.
The board approved claims for payment dated Feb. 27 totaling $224,722.25 after a motion and second. The board next approved payroll claims dated Feb. 23 for $5,696.85 and payroll claims for pension dated Feb. 27 for $246,562.30; motions for each were seconded and carried by voice vote.
These approvals were procedural and did not include additional discussion or conditions reported in the transcript. The meeting moved on to a road-closure request and a contract item later in the agenda.
