The chair proposed locking the ceremony to the last Friday in January annually to streamline planning and secure speakers earlier.
The committee directed staff to compile notes and to develop a more formal post-event marketing plan, including the possibility of short testimonial video snippets to promote winners and sponsors.
The committee did not take formal votes on event-policy changes during the meeting; the discussion produced recommended next steps for staff to implement prior to the next awards cycle.
