The San Francisco Unified School District Board of Education approved a set of stipulated expulsion agreements and separately voted to approve employment agreements for several district executives during the meeting.
On student discipline, the board moved and carried approval of stipulated expulsion agreements for three student matters (identified in the meeting record by district case/matter numbers). Consent included suspended expulsion status for the fall 2025 semester and specified interim placements (for example, Civic Center secondary for one student).
On staffing, the board considered and approved employment agreements for a set of executive positions. The general counsel read summaries of the proposed employment agreements with salary placements and term dates for:
- Christy Herrera, assistant superintendent PK-5 (commencing 07/01/2025 through 06/30/2026; salary grade 6, step 8). - Jennifer Steiner, assistant superintendent middle school and K-8 (07/01/2025—6/30/2026; salary grade 6, step 4). - Davina Goldwasser, assistant superintendent of high schools and college and career readiness (07/01/2025—6/30/2026; salary grade 6, step 5). - Eddie Ngo, technology services officer (05/28/2025 through 12/31/2025; salary grade 6, step 4). - Amy Baer, associate superintendent of human resources (07/01/2025 through 06/30/2026; salary grade 8, step 8).
Each employment agreement was moved and seconded and carried on recorded roll-call votes (the transcript records "7 ayes" for each item noted). One commissioner asked why a specific contract provision differed for one individual; general counsel said differences were intentional and based on negotiated terms.
Board members also approved the broader consent calendar afterwards.
