Clovis Unified administrators report on 2025–26 school-year opening; new principal introduced

Administrators for the Clovis Unified School District updated the Governing Board on the opening of the 2025–26 school year during the Aug. 27 meeting, reporting area- and function-level preparations for instruction, curriculum, facilities, technology, human resources and business services.
Superintendent Corrine Folmer, Ed.D., presented the Superintendent's report highlighting recent district news and achievements. A series of assistant superintendents and administrators provided updates including Scott Dille (Clovis Area), Kristen Belknap (Clovis West Area), Steve France (Educational Services), Kevin Kerney (Buchanan Area), Jennifer Thomas (Clovis East Area), Darin Tockey (Clovis North Area), Stephanie Hanks (Clovis South Area), Monica Flores (Instructional Services), Erin Waer (Curriculum, Instruction & Accountability), Susan Rutledge (Business Services), Nick Mele (Facility Services), Raj Nagra (Chief Technology Officer), Roxanne Braswell (Chief Human Resources Officer), Aaron Cook (Program Evaluation), and Marc Hammack (Associate Superintendent, School Leadership).
The Board also received a musical performance by cast members of the Clovis West High School Theater Arts Program, directed by Sandra Hahn, who presented numbers from the upcoming production of Little Shop of Horrors. The Board was introduced to newly appointed Sierra Vista Elementary principal Beth Willson.
The staff report entries were presented for the Board's information and to provide context for later action items. The public hearing on conveyance of easements to the Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District drew no public speakers. The meeting adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
