Clovis Unified board unanimously approves contracts, labor updates and easement resolutions

At its Aug. 27 meeting the Clovis Unified School District Governing Board voted 6–0 to approve a set of consent and action items including a student-behavior platform contract, a tutoring pilot, labor reclassifications, disclosure of a CBA for ACE psychologists, and conveyance of easements to the Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District.
The Clovis Unified School District Governing Board on Aug. 27 voted unanimously to approve a slate of consent and action items, authorizing contracts and labor actions the district said will support classroom behavior management, early learning supports and operational needs.
The Board approved authorization for NAVIGATE360 PBIS Rewards for the 2025–26 school year and ratified a service agreement with Ampact to pilot the Early Learning Corps tutoring program for transitional kindergarten and kindergarten students at seven Expanded Learning Club sites. The Board also approved provisional internship permits for recommended teaching candidates.
On labor matters the Board adopted a Memorandum of Understanding with the California School Employees Association, Chapter 250, to reclassify remaining positions identified in the 2025 Classification Study and to update associated job descriptions. The Board also approved the public disclosure of a collective bargaining agreement related to ACE Psychologists and other mental health support providers.
On facilities and property matters the Board adopted Resolution No. 4064 to convey easements (APN 491-050-08T and 491-050-15T) to the Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District for an underground storm drainage pipeline tied to the district's Visual and Performing Arts warehouse project; the public hearing held on the matter drew no speakers. The Board also adopted Resolution Nos. 4067 and 4068 authorizing exceptions to the 180-day post-retirement wait period for hiring CalPERS retirees.

The Board scheduled a public hearing for Sept. 10, 2025, regarding adoption of a resolution to approve the purchase of upgraded swimming pool lighting at various sites.
