Board of Assessors approves $2.16 million motor-vehicle excise commitment and several abatements

Members also approved the 2025 Assessors' Warrant to Collector, Motor Vehicle and Trailer Excise Commitment 7, for $13,479.01 and the 2026 Assessors' Warrant to Collector, Motor Vehicle and Trailer Excise Commitment 1, for $2,157,512.87. All three motions passed 2-0-0.
The board moved into an executive session and did not return to regular session; the approved minutes record that three property abatement actions were granted during that executive session. The properties and values recorded in the minutes are: 38 Gould Rd (Parcel 019-0057), original value $885,900, abated value $861,800; 39 Concord Rd (053-0009), original $1,893,900, abated $1,716,700; and 30-38 South Rd (054-0134), original $844,500, abated $817,600.
The motions were made and seconded by board members present: Rebecca Neale and Nance Wolk. The minutes list Rick Ladd as town staff in attendance and Piper Pavelich as a guest. The board recorded no public comment.
