Final Springs Brook Park master plan presented to Select Board; Select Board to decide

The Recreation Commission noted that the final Springs Brook Park master plan and report were presented to the Select Board on Feb. 9, 2026. Staff summarized that the presentation explained removal of an originally planned first phase and a redesign of the Springs Road fields and outlined the financial impacts associated with those changes.
Robin Steele, Recreation Commission chair, told commissioners that the plan presentation to the Select Board went well and emphasized that the funding for the current plan elements is expected to come from the Community Preservation Committee (CPC), so decisions will follow the Select Board process and town procedures. Josh Smith said the Springs Brook Park study page and related materials are posted on the Recreation Department website.
Bopha Malone and a person named Paul were noted as having missed the Select Board presentation; the commission recorded that the Select Board will make the next decisions on the plan.
