Council adopts consent agenda, recognizes Eid al Fitr and approves police training grant

At its March 18 meeting the Saint Paul City Council approved its consent agenda (items 1–15) and legislative hearing consent items (23–31) by voice vote.
The council also adopted Resolution 26‑461 recognizing Eid al Fitr and expressing the city’s support for Muslim residents observing the holiday. Council members spoke in favor of the resolution’s message of inclusion before adoption by unanimous voice vote.
The council accepted a State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety grant (Resolution 26‑67) to support the police department’s 2026 intensive comprehensive peace officer education and training program, authorized execution of the grant agreement and amended the 2026 grant budget. There was no public testimony and the resolution passed unanimously.
