Commissioner Terry moved to approve the purchase/construction order for the emergency sewer line replacement; Commissioner Bueller seconded. The motion passed on a roll-call vote with six ayes and one absent.
The contract was described to cover the localized emergency repair; commissioners asked whether the work had already started and were told crews were "gearing up" to begin. The city will monitor the repair schedule and related invoices through the project completion.
The commission's action authorizes the city manager to proceed with the contractor on the scope and price presented. The item concludes Lewistowns immediate repair plan while staff continue inspecting the broader system.
