Council members discussed sponsorship options and whether businesses or families might share costs. A volunteer estimate of about $800 was cited; Council member S3 moved to appropriate $1,000 to the beautification fund and S4 seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Council asked the committee to return with a concrete plan in April, and staff explained that reimbursements will require receipts rather than a direct check for auditing reasons. Council members said the committee may seek sponsorships so that town funds are used only if necessary.
