Kewanee High FFA members and district Pre-K programs honored at board meeting

The board opened its Nov. 17 meeting with recognitions honoring Kewanee High School FFA members and district early-childhood programs.
Mrs. Tidwell presented resolutions honoring Kalleigh Gale (Top 15, State Job Interview CDE) and Remy Hicks (third place, State Ag Ed CDE) for their results at state contests at Illinois State University. She also presented resolutions to Rachel DeRycke, Abigail DeSchepper and Emma Evans, and advisor Mrs. Callahan, for receiving American Degrees at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis and recognized the KHS FFA chapter for earning a Three-Star chapter designation.
Superintendent Baney recognized Lyle and Neponset Pre-K programs for ExceleRate Illinois ratings, with Lyle earning Gold and Neponset Silver.
Students and advisors were acknowledged; the recognitions were ceremonial and no formal board action was required.
