The board also approved the Williams report resolution finding that schools have sufficient textbooks and instructional materials under Education Code §60119 after staff reported orders placed to address identified shortages.
President Kim said staff will bring a fiscal stabilization plan to the board in December to address a multi‑year budget shortfall; the board will consider interims, preliminary layoff notices on the statutory schedule and related actions as part of that plan.
