Worth County supervisors approve annexation amendment for Drainage District No. 40

AgriVia engineer Jacob Hagan said the firm filed an amendment to remove lands “North of 460th St East of Mallard” from the annexation and that a second change would reduce county conservation acreage similar to modifications made on Drainage District 1. The meeting was called to order at 10:15 a.m. CST at the Worth County courthouse.
The board handled the item under its role for Drainage District No. 40. Supervisor Mark Smeby moved to close the public hearing; Vice-Chair A.J. Stone seconded and the motion carried. On the roll call recorded in the minutes, Smeby, Stone and Chair Enos Loberg were recorded as voting Yea.
After reconvening the regular meeting, Smeby moved, with Stone seconding, to approve the annexation incorporating the changes described by AgriVia. The supervisors again recorded Yea votes for Smeby, Stone and Loberg and the motion carried. The board then moved to close the meeting; the hearing was adjourned at 10:26 a.m.
