Wasco city officials on the evening agenda adopted two routine resolutions to add Tracy Blakemore as an authorized signer on bank accounts for both the Successor Agency to the former Wasco Redevelopment Agency and the Wasco Public Finance Authority.
Staff told the council the items are administrative steps tied to onboarding the new finance director. "Part of onboarding our new finance director is getting proper resolutions in place with council actions," the city manager said, explaining the items restate the list of authorized signers to include Blakemore.
There were no public comments on either item. Each board moved and seconded the resolutions in a single vote; the clerk recorded the outcome as approved with four ayes and the mayor absent.
City staff said the authority granted is limited to signing on agency bank accounts and is similar to prior signatory lists. Council members did not request additional changes or conditions before voting.
The two approvals are recorded as routine housekeeping steps to align bank signatory lists with current staffing and do not change agency policy or program funding.
