The Marion County Board of Supervisors approved three transportation-related contracts March 10. The board accepted Asphalt Surface Technologies Corporation (Astech) of Saint Cloud, Minnesota, as the low bidder for project M-SEAL-26-13 (HMA crack sealing on roads G71 and T23) at $84,579 and approved Vogel Traffic Services of Orange City, Iowa, as the low bidder for project M-PAINT-27-1 (centerline pavement markings) at $67,466.89.
Separately, the board approved a professional services agreement with WHKS & Co. to design a bridge deck overlay and approach work for the T17 bridge over English Creek (bridge no. 58040155). The board authorized the County Engineer to execute and administer the consulting agreement.
All motions to award contracts and to authorize the design agreement passed by unanimous vote (Ayes: McCombs, Jahner, Mueller). The board noted the bids were the lowest responsible offers received on Feb. 25, 2026, and accepted the amounts as presented.
