Supervisors accept substantial completion for Junction 92 facility, approve small change order and authorize exterior concrete bids

The Marion County Board of Supervisors approved a certificate declaring substantial completion of the Junction 92 Road Department maintenance facility, with the board recording substantial completion effective Feb. 20, 2026. County Engineer Tyler Christian updated the board on construction progress and remaining unfinished items.
The board also approved Change Order No. 11 for the project, which results in a $446.25 net increase to the contract sum (new contract total $5,590,895.21). The board authorized public bidding for the exterior concrete (PCC paving) work, set the notice of letting for April 2, 2026 (bids due by 9:00 a.m.), and scheduled a public hearing for April 14, 2026, to consider adoption of plans, specifications, and form of contract.
Supervisors voted to accept the Certificate of Substantial Completion and the change order and to move forward with the bidding schedule. The board’s action allows Marion County to occupy the building for its intended purpose while completing final contract items and closing out remaining work per contract documents.
