Stormwater and building staff said the Burton’s Laundry building passed final building inspections and is substantially complete, but that final work remains including approximately 7,900 square feet of stabilization, required landscaping and two water-service disconnects. Staff estimated the outstanding work at $46,140; a matching assurance bond in that amount has been remitted by Cincinnati Insurance Company. The board approved the agreement, authorizing the mayor and board to sign the completion agreement and set a June 15 deadline for the property owner and contractor to complete remaining work as described in the transcript.
Clerk Treasurer DeGeery presented the annual encumbrance request: departments reviewed unspent 2025 budget lines and identified allowable encumbrances. He asked the board to approve $13,396,365.49 in encumbrances to carry those funds into the 2026 budget. A board member moved to approve the amount and the board voted unanimously.
The Board completed the privilege-of-the-floor period with no public speakers and adjourned after approving civil city and utility claims.
