Maple Grove councilmembers on Feb. 2 directed the city attorney to draft a resolution and planned unit development agreement for Tri‑Care’s proposed four‑story self‑storage facility, approximately 111,300 square feet in size.
Planning Manager Peter Vickerman said the development is consistent with the concept plan that received approval in December 2025 and that staff and the Planning Commission had no major outstanding issues. Applicant Greg Hayes described improvements to the exterior elevations and landscaping since the concept submittal.
Councilmember Mike Ostaffe thanked the applicant for incorporating feedback; the motion to draft required documents passed 4–0. As with other PUDs, the applicant must address comments in the Community & Economic Development, Engineering, Fire and Parks & Recreation memoranda before final action.
