After opening a public hearing on the 2025 street rehabilitation assessment for Project No. 25-01, the Maple Grove City Council adopted Resolution No. 25-149 on Nov. 3 to include the property at 6605 Yucca Lane N (PID 34-119-22-24-0081) in the special assessments for the Donahue North Area project.
City Engineer R.J. Kakach told the Council that Project No. 25-01 covers local streets in the Donahue North Area, which the record describes as including 213 single-family detached units and 52.06 commercial/industrial/institutional acres proposed to be assessed. Kakach said one property had been inadvertently omitted from the initial public hearing notice and that the notice and assessment hearing were published in the Osseo–Maple Grove Press on Oct. 9 and Oct. 16, 2025; a mailed notice to the resident at 6605 Yucca Lane N was sent on Oct. 3, 2025 explaining payment options and project details in compliance with Minnesota Statutes Sections 429.011 to 429.111.
The Council opened the hearing, received no public testimony, closed the hearing, and then voted 5-0 on a motion by Councilmember Kristy Janigo, seconded by Councilmember Jon McCullough, to adopt Resolution No. 25-149 to levy the special assessment including the omitted property.
