Daniel Planning Commission continues One Shot LLC, recommends Q-Boys license, and approves permits including Phelps residence and Daniel Storage signage

At its Feb. 18 meeting the Daniel Planning Commission acted on several licenses and permits: it continued One Shot LLC’s license review to March 18 pending submission of a written business plan; recommended that the Town Council approve Q-Boys’ business license with operational restrictions; and approved a building permit for the Phelps residence and a signage permit for Daniel Storage.

Kevin Steed represented One Shot LLC and said the parcel is nearly six acres and zoned Industrial; commissioners asked for a written business plan addressing scope, equipment, materials storage and hours of operation to conform with Daniel Municipal Code 8.21. Commissioner Byron Horner moved to continue the application until the March 18 meeting so the applicant could provide the requested plan; Commissioner Tim Jones seconded and the motion passed.

Patrick Quinn presented Q-Boys as a small, by-appointment service restricted to non-fluid repairs for clients who cannot afford paid repairs. Commissioner Scott Long moved to recommend Council approval of the business license with restrictions on the types of repairs; Commissioner Heber Taylor seconded and the motion passed.

For other items, Commissioner Horner moved to approve the Phelps residence building permit after staff confirmed the new footprint fits within the demolished structure’s footprint; the motion passed. Boyd Mitchell represented Daniel Storage; the town engineer found no code violations and the commission approved the signage permit.

These permit and license items will be reflected in Council agendas or permit records as appropriate.
