Point Venture council reviews animal-control, building and public-works updates; seeks 24-hour notice for roadway cuts

Tony Reynolds, the village Animal Control Officer, presented January activity numbers: five deceased-animal responses/removals; 10 at-risk-animal responses; 12 nuisance-animal responses or consultations; five dog-at-large/general dog calls; five complaints (noise/aggressive dog/other); and two general inquiries.
Council also heard that the Community Collection Center had 100 visits in January and that Public Works has been performing right-of-way and over-road brush and limb maintenance. The Building Department reported one new single-family home permit and two certificates of occupancy issued in January.
On roadway restoration, Councilmember Kevin Davis said he met with the Travis County WCID board president, an Inframark representative and the Village civil engineer about required utility work and roadway cuts. Davis reported that WCID "does understand and accept responsibility to make adequate roadway restoration" and that the Village requested 24-hour notification of all roadway cuts by utilities.
