City opens bids for vehicle impound/storage agreement; bids referred to purchasing for tabulation

The Public Works and Safety Board opened and recorded sealed bids on March 5 for the city’s 2026 vehicle impound and storage agreement and referred the bids to the purchasing department for tabulation.
Purchasing Manager Karen Ngo said the request-for-quote packet was sent to Countryside Auto, Inglewood Truckstop, Second Chance Towing and Repair, Pardo's Towing and Recovery, Christopher's Auto and Mike's Towing on Feb. 11. Sealed bids received March 4 came from Inglewood Truckstop, Pardo's Towing and Countryside Auto; Ngo asked that all paper documentation be made part of the record.
When bids were opened the board read the offers: Countryside Auto proposed two annual payments of $10,800 (April 15 and Sept. 15), Pardo Service Inc. submitted two payments of $7,500.50, and Inglewood Truck Towing and Recovery bid a total of $21,000 (two $10,500 payments). The board took the bids under advisement and referred them to purchasing for tabulation; no contract award was made at the March 5 meeting.
