Committee updates Taxation Aid application and donor communications as awards are readied

Committee member Sue Swanson presented a draft donor letter addressed to individuals who contributed $250 or more and to corporate donors and said Amy Hamilton and Christine Wedge reviewed and approved the draft.
Christine Wedge reported that donations earmarked for 2026 total just under $1,100 but the account shows $8,448.66 because some 2025 donations have not yet been applied to awards. She said awards will be applied to recipients’ fourth-quarter tax bills and that recipients have already been notified.
Sue Swanson said she has updated the program application and will distribute it to committee members for review and additional discussion at the next meeting. The committee also set outreach tasks tied to the newly adopted fundraising goal, including soliciting larger sponsors and drafting a realtor outreach letter.
The committee scheduled its next meeting for Monday, Feb. 23 at 5:00 p.m. and adjourned at 4:56 p.m.
