Fulton County commissioners approve payables, personnel actions and appointments

The board approved payables dated Dec. 16 totaling $281,921.91, with $214,588.09 charged to the General Fund and $46,105.21 noted under Opioid Settlement Funds. On a motion by Commissioner Hervey P. Hann, the board also voted to dismiss a Domestic Relations employee retroactive to Dec. 8, 2025, and to approve advertising for an "Enforcement Officer 1" vacancy both internally and externally.
Other approvals included retroactive authorization for a Momentive Software, Inc. renewal for the Fiscal Department at an annual price of $1,660.48; approval to execute a request from the Sheriff's Department for physician services for an inmate at the Bedford County Correctional Facility; and an appointment of Thomas Peppernick to the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors for a term ending Dec. 31, 2027. The board reappointed Margie McGuire (Contractor), Paula Shives (Member-at-Large), Thomas Morton (Elected Official) and Daniel Schriever (Member-at-Large) to the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board for two-year terms through Dec. 31, 2027.
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve the 2026 Commissioners' Meeting dates for publication in the Fulton County Newspaper; the motion passed unanimously. The board entered and exited executive session twice for personnel matters; both sessions were recorded as motions and unanimous. A DCED financial monitoring interview scheduled for 11:30 a.m. was cancelled after DCED elected to meet with SEDA COG and the chief clerk for the review instead. The meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
