DeKalb County tables data-center ordinance and delays zoning referral to March
Summary

At the Feb. 24 meeting DeKalb County commissioners tabled consideration of a Data Center Ordinance and deferred further action on a proposed zoning referral.
A motion by Mathias Anderson, seconded by Jack Barton, to approve Resolution 2026-01-141 (Data Center Ordinance) was met with a motion by Beth Pafford, seconded by Tony Culwell, to table the ordinance until the body can consult; the motion to table passed on a 14-0 roll call.
Separately, Larry Green moved that the Planning Committee move forward with zoning and return the proposal for public discussion and education. Beth Pafford moved, and Myron Rhody seconded, to table that request and place it on the March agenda. The roll call to table the zoning referral was 10 yes and 4 no, and the motion carried; the minutes list the commissioners who voted each way.
The commission also approved committee changes removing Myron Rhody from the Audit Committee and approved a list of notaries before adjourning.
