Dr. John Barile announced that the ribbon-cutting ceremony for CLES is scheduled for Sept. 12, 2024 at 6 p.m.; invitations have been distributed to the public and guests, the PTO will provide hospitality, and tours will be offered to visitors before and after the ceremony.
Committee members also discussed communications for the start of the school year: principals will send Welcome Back emails in the coming week, and Dr. Barile plans to send a district message toward the end of August featuring teaching-and-learning links, school-climate feedback opportunities, and ParentSquare information. The minutes ask parents and staff to provide feedback on ParentSquare and the district’s new website following the platform transition.
No public comment or formal actions were recorded regarding the event or communications during the Aug. 6 meeting. The committee noted the district’s communications plan as an operational update and scheduled policy-review work separately for Aug. 29.
