The Brookfield Board of Education voted 6-0 on July 1 to approve a new food-service contract with Chartwell’s Food Service after a motion from Board Secretary Stephanie Sikora.
Stephanie Sikora moved and Joy Greenstein seconded the motion, which the minutes say was made “as recommended by the Finance subcommittee and Director of Business Operations Mrs. Kasey Diotte.” The recorded vote lists W. Youngblood, R. Fernandes, S. Sikora, J. Greenstein, S. Devine and R. Fischetto as voting in favor.
The meeting minutes do not include the contract’s dollar value, length, renewal terms or an effective date, and no further public discussion of the contract terms appears in the special meeting record. The board then moved into an executive session later in the meeting to interview candidates for a board vacancy.
No public comment or dissent on the contract was recorded in the special meeting minutes.
