Commissioners say suspension limits driving privileges; member remains eligible to respond to calls
Summary

Agency official (S5) said, “That suspension happened after a fire and was, an immediate through the board. They were invited to the, the they they pulled a board meeting and agreed on it, and then I executed the paperwork.” He clarified the scope: the member was not suspended from the fire department entirely but was restricted from driving county equipment; the member may still respond to calls and ride as a passenger.
Commissioner (S4) said his primary concern was that the process was done “appropriately” and that the member had been notified. Agency official (S5) said he would provide a copy of the suspension letter to the commissioners or the clerk.
The board did not take additional formal punitive action during the meeting; staff committed to circulate documentation and the commissioners said they were satisfied the member had been notified.
