Hodges said teams typically play on open fields and that the group brings portable elements such as a wooden backstop and bases; the primary field support requested is grass cutting.
Staff confirmed three contingencies on approval, noting the group's insurance requirement has already been met and that the emergency action plan and a staff meeting before the event remain outstanding. After brief discussion the board moved, seconded and voted to approve the events as long as staff contingencies are satisfied.
The parks staff encouraged residents to attend the events and said they will share dates and event information on the town's channels once contingencies are met.
