Council approves consent items, acknowledges unclaimed checks and names Park Advisory Board members

The council approved its consent agenda, including the February 5 special meeting minutes, the February 12 regular meeting minutes and a claims and payroll docket covering 02/13/2026 through 02/26/2026 with a total of $1,713,400.04 presented for approval.

Clerk‑Treasurer (name read in the packet) reported an ongoing effort to reissue or collect long‑outstanding checks; the original list was about 60 items at year‑end and staff have reduced that to four unresolved items. The clerk explained funds that cannot be located are returned to the appropriate fund after standard procedures.

The council president described the new Brownsburg Park Advisory Board as an advisory, non‑decision‑making body that will receive information from the parks director and make recommendations to council through the parks director. Initial appointments read into the record are Nathan Adam Dillman (initial 1‑year term), Dennis Rosenberg (1‑year), George Buck (2‑year), Judy Kinninger (2‑year), Lehi Nolte (3‑year) and Chris Worley (3‑year).
