Bremer County approves rezoning ordinance and two minor subdivisions

At its March 17 meeting in Waverly, the Bremer County Board of Supervisors approved the third reading of Ordinance No. 25-08 rezoning a Heim property from A-1 to A-2 and adopted Resolutions 26-23 and 26-24 to approve two minor subdivision plats for Richard L. The Bremer County Board of Supervisors approved the third reading of Ordinance No. 25-08 and adopted two minor-subdivision resolutions during its March 17, 2026 session in Waverly.
The board voted to approve the third reading of Ordinance No. 25-08, which rezones property owned by Chad D. and Lynette K. Heim from A-1 (agricultural) to A-2 (agricultural/residential). Supervisor Hildebrandt moved the motion and Supervisor Cerwinske seconded; the board adopted the measure. The minutes record that the board did not concur with the Planning & Zoning Commission recommendation and proceeded with approval on third reading.
In separate actions the board adopted Resolution No. 26-23, approving the minor subdivision plat of Richard L. Ormston Revocable Trust. The resolution approves Parcel D (5.19 acres, including 0.43 acre of County Road C33 right-of-way) and Parcel E (2.48 acres, including 0.48 acre of County Road C33 and Hawthorne Ave right-of-way) in the NE 1/4 of Section 19, Township 92 North, Range 13 West. Supervisor Hildebrandt moved the resolution and Supervisor Cerwinske seconded; the board approved it.
The board also adopted Resolution No. 26-24 approving the minor subdivision plat of Tagtow Family Farm, L.L.C. (Parcel I), a 3.18-acre parcel that includes 0.42 acre of County Highway V56 (260th St.) right-of-way in the SW 1/4 of Section 22, Township 91 North, Range 11 West. The motion was moved by Supervisor Cerwinske and seconded by Supervisor Hildebrandt; the resolution passed.
Minutes indicate these actions were passed during the regular session and instruct the chairman and county auditor to affix signatures to the adopted resolutions and ordinance documents.
