Clovis Unified board approves wide slate of routine measures, adopts 2025-26 budget and budget commitments

The Clovis Unified Governing Board on June 11 adopted the district's 2025-26 budget and approved a lengthy consent calendar of agreements, contracts and routine personnel actions.
The board voted 7-0 to adopt the 2025-26 budget for all district funds as submitted. In the same meeting members approved Resolution No. 4054 to commit portions of the district's General Fund ending balance for capital equipment refresh, textbooks, technology refresh, school site/department long-term plans and a 10% stabilization fund consistent with Board Policy No. 3100.
Board members also approved public disclosure of a collective bargaining agreement that includes a 3.5% salary schedule increase for 2025-26 and implementation of a classification study for most employee groups; the approval explicitly excluded groups that have not settled negotiations to date (CSEA Chapter 250; ACE Psychologists and Mental Health Support Providers; ACE Naturalists; and ACE American Sign Language interpreters). The board approved raising the district contribution for health, dental and vision benefits to $16,385 annually per eligible employee. The motion passed 7-0.
The meeting's consent calendar contained approvals for conference requests, fundraisers, student trips, volunteer community recreation programs, minute approvals from May special and regular meetings, ratification of purchase orders and warrants (Nos. 693347 through 694442), multiple annual agreements for special education and related services (including JDT Consultants; Educational Mental Health Associates; Behavioral Intervention, Coaching and Consulting Central California, LLC; and Spectrum Center, Inc.), and appointments to the Clovis Unified Special Education Community Advisory Committee in accordance with Education Code section 56190. All consent items were approved by unanimous roll call.
Also on the consent and action lists were policy reviews and amendments, adoption of the Education Protection Account resolution, disposal of obsolete instructional materials consistent with Education Code section 60510, and authorization to make certain purchases via cooperative purchasing agreements under Public Contract Code 20118. Each of these motions passed 7-0.
The board concluded the meeting after receiving informational items and subcommittee reports; the meeting was adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
