Waupaca County board approves consultant and cable contracts, hears financial and public health reports

The Waupaca County Board of Supervisors on Aug. 19, 2025 approved two contracts and received reports on county finances and public health.

On motions recorded in the meeting minutes, the board approved a three-year consultant services contract to develop a Cost Allocation Plan that conforms with applicable federal and state requirements. Supervisor Much moved the contract approval and Supervisor Wengelski seconded; the minutes record the motion as carried 22-0. The minutes do not list the consultant’s name or the dollar amount of the contract.

The board also approved a five-year contract renewal with Charter/Spectrum for transmission-line services. Supervisor Zaug moved the renewal; Supervisor Federwitz seconded; the minutes record the motion as carried 22-0. The meeting record does not include pricing or contract-value details.

During the reports section, Heidi Dombrowski distributed the 2024 Annual Financial Report and addressed key points. Jed Wohlt presented information on the Public Health Department. Vice Chair James Nygaard delivered his monthly report. The meeting also placed the HR Highlights Newsletter on file; Supervisor Bosquez and Corporation Counsel Diane L. Meulemans spoke on the Modernization Update for August.
