The Iron County Commission on Sept. 8 approved a package of ordinances, resolutions and administrative actions covering land use, transportation, property enforcement and personnel.
The board voted to adopt Ordinance 2025‑7, a county code amendment that makes light‑industrial uses subject to conditional use review in RA‑20 zones, requires a plat amendment for full boundary adjustments to comply with recent state code definitions, and removes encroachment fees from the ordinance so those fees are handled in the county fee schedule. Planning staff said the changes were recommended by the planning commission to provide more flexibility while allowing conditions commensurate with surrounding uses.
