West Noble honors SROs and spotlights two state wrestling qualifiers

The West Noble School Corporation presented plaques to its school resource officers and recognized two student athletes who qualified for state wrestling.
The chair opened a brief spotlight on the district's SROs and presented a plaque to officers in recognition of "your dedication in keeping the school safe," the chair said. One SRO, who said he had started his nineteenth year in law enforcement and called it "an absolute honor" to serve at West Noble, thanked the board and highlighted local partnerships with the city and the Indiana SRO association.
Coach Tom Marsh introduced two wrestlers who made state this year. He noted the girls program started with eight participants and finished with six after injuries, described Destiny as the program's first girl state placer and said Brogan, a sophomore, compiled a 35–7 record this season and qualified for state. Destiny described how she went from manager to wrestler, her summer training routine and her plan to wrestle in college at William Penn in Iowa.
Board members and administrators thanked the SROs and congratulated the athletes. The brief recognition and student remarks concluded with appreciation from the board for community support and student achievements.
