Fulton County commissioners on Dec. 30 adopted the county's 2026 budget and approved the Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution with no increase in taxes for fiscal year 2026. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve Resolution 8 of 2025 (Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution), and Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to adopt the proposed 2026 budget as presented by CFO Mike Lamb and Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed; both motions carried unanimously.
The commission also approved the December 2025 pension report as presented by HR Administrator Mary Huston. Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed told commissioners there were no changes to the proposed budget since it was advertised for public comment. The board did not provide a total dollar amount for the adopted budget in the meeting record.
The board noted that Keller Engineer, Inc. will be formally appointed at the Reorganizational Meeting on Jan. 6, 2026. The budget adoption and the Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution set the county's fiscal direction for 2026 while maintaining the same tax rates as the prior year.
