Fulton County OKs $4,940 dispatch-clock replacement, approves regional support and Hazmat contracts

At its Dec. 23 meeting, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved several public-safety items brought forward by EMA/911 Director Brian Barton, including replacement of aging dispatch clocks and new vendor agreements.
Barton told the board that the dispatch clocks used in the county dispatch center are more than 20 years old and need replacement. On a motion by Commissioner Randy H. Bunch, the board approved a ComPros quote for two dispatch clocks, including hardware and installation, for $4,940.
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve the 2026 Mission Critical Partners Regional Support Contract for Professional Services; Barton noted the contract is fully grant funded. That motion carried 'All in favor.'
The board also approved a McCutcheon Enterprises, Inc. Hazmat Team two-year agreement with payment amounts of $2,500 for fiscal year 2026 and $7,500 for fiscal year 2027. Commissioner Bunch moved to approve the Hazmat agreement and the motion passed unanimously among those present.
Barton also updated the commissioners on training: he said the county's 'Pre Alert' system is in place and that information has been distributed to fire departments, and he summarized trainings completed and scheduled for EMA/911 staff.
The board adjourned at 11:21 a.m. after completing the day's agenda.
